Australia and Indonesia signed the long-awaited Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA) in Jakarta earlier this year. IA-CEPA secures new access for Australian feed grains and this new market is valued at around $125 million at the farmgate. The next step in the process is ratification through Parliament. GrainGrowers has provided a submission to the Joint Standing Committee on Treaties' inquiry that outlines why the effective implication of IA-CEPA is a key trade priority and presents a unique opportunity to deepen and strengthen our trade and economic ties with Indonesia.Read the submission in full below
