To help address the increasing focus on this issue, 14 GrainGrowers “Carbon Curious” dinners are being held in regional towns across Australia over May and June to help growers navigate some of the complexities of information that abounds.
GrainGrowers CEO Shona Gawel said the events are an excellent way to connect with other growers and discuss the latest developments in the carbon space.
“Places are filling very quickly for some locations, so I would encourage anyone interested to talk with their partner, farming friends, the farm manager, or any other staff member, mark the date in the diary, and visit the GrainGowers website to register now,” she said.
The free grower dinners are an opportunity to learn more about carbon and carbon calculator platforms on farm and hear how other growers are approaching the issue.
In addition to meeting with other local growers, the events will provide the opportunity to connect with GrainGrowers staff and take home a range of valuable resources on the topic, including the Carbon and Cropping report and a handy “Jargon Buster” guide.
