A carbon conversation, connecting grain industry participants and discussing relevant issues, is set to continue in South Australia, with an upcoming GrainGrowers event at Port Broughton on Tuesday, 15 October.
The special lunch, marking the International Day of Rural Women (IDRW), reinforces the theme 'Rural women cultivating good food for all'.
GrainGrowers CEO Shona Gawel said the event, mixing networking with professional development, aligned with GrainGrowers' strong track record of encouraging diversity, equity and inclusion.
"Across the grains industry, we know of the extraordinary women contributing. I am always pleased to see this recognised through regional events like this."
Ms Gawel said the lunch was an ideal opportunity to bring rural women in agriculture together, with a Carbon Conversation keynote session by GrainGrowers' Sarah Hyland a scheduled event highlight.
"Our recent Carbon Curious dinners held in regional centres across South Australia were well attended, highlighting interest in how growers approach carbon issues. This event provides another opportunity for local industry participants to learn more and be part of that discussion," Ms Gawel said.
Attendance at the event is free, but with limited places available, attendees must RSVP and register through the GrainGrowers website.
The event will be held on 15 October from 12:00 – 3:30 PM at Palate2Palette, 6 Bay Street, Port Broughton South Australia.
